Flora Leaflet
Exquisite, enchanting, and a real work of art, this piece was inspired by an 1886 tapestry that was the result of a collaboration between William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. The tapestry now hangs in the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester, England. "Flora,” the Roman goddess of flowers, looks beautiful stitched with petit point face, hands, and feet. The remainder of the design, including her flowing gown, the exquisite flower border, and the charming woodland animals, is stitched over two.
