I bought two cakes that arrived neatly packaged and the striping within each lined up perfectly.

Description

Caron Lava Cakes contains 8.5 ounces (457 yards) of worsted weight yarn in a self-striping cake. This wool/acrylic blend yarn has a solid-color outer later with a colorful molten core to create gorgeous colorwork and striped projects. It is perfect for cozy sweaters, accessories, and home décor. Make sure to hand wash your finished projects to keep them looking like new. Imported.
• 80% acrylic/20% wool, #4 worsted weight yarn.
• 8.5 oz/240g/457 yd/418m cake.
• Hand wash. Imported.
• Crochet gauge, size H-8 (5mm) hook: 13 sc and 14 rows = 4" (10.2cm).
• Knit gauge in st st, size 8 (5mm) needles: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" (10.2cm).
