The colors are great and the yarn feels soft. I briefly looked over the instructions and they seem easy enough to understand. I may need more time because I am still learning.

This is a beautiful throw and a super fun way to learn new stitches! I am new to crochet and even though this is an intermediate level project... with the help of you tube videos and one phone call to a seasoned crochet friend; I was able to construct this with relative ease. The yarn is good quality and only had a few small flat spots on a couple of the skeins. Not to worry though; they fluffed right up after washing. I used a giant delicates bag and washed in the machine on delicate and dried on low heat delicate. I didn't use any fabric softener because I read somewhere that it wasn't good to use when washing things of this nature. (don't know if that true or not, but erred on the side of caution.) I took it out of the dryer before it was completely dry and just "blocked" it on my bed. I was amazed at how soft it became after washing ... like really seriously AMAZED! The only thing that was disappointing, and it really is my fault for not looking closer, is that in just looking at the image, I thought the dark color that is used throughout the project and for the majority of the border was an indigo color and alas... I was wrong. I know that yarn colors in pictures don't always represent the "true" colors, especially if it's a hand dyed variegated yarn and such of the like. But what I thought was indigo is in actuality "peppercorn" grey. I would and will absolutely crochet this pattern again. Thank you for this beautiful sampler throw pattern kit!
