"Turned out beautifully and was exactly to measure with the needles suggested. It's a great project for a beginner or an intermediate knitter who just wants a simple project to keep their hands busy. They give you lots more yarn than you need, especially of the lightest and darkest shade, so think about side projects you might want to do with the leftovers. Or, for a longer blanket, do a half width section of solid dark blue at the beginning and the same with light blue at the end."

"This afghan is exactly what it says it is - one row. It is definitely TV knitting. It is simple to do, but it looks more complicated as it knits up, because of the way the stitch pattern and the color changes interact. With my tension, it looks better in a size 8 US needle, but I did use the size 10 for the long tail cast on. There is a bit of horizontal stretch, so I will look for a bind off that has more ease than my usual one. In life, it's prettier than the picture. Enjoy knitting it."
