"looks like witch hair very rough and very thin"

"Great look I have used this yarn before - it is much thinner than a true 5 weight, but works up soft and beautiful. Makes great fringe as well. "

"Different This yarn wasn't quite what I expected. But it is still nice. "

"Great Value This yarn is so soft and working up fast - I'm glad I purchased a lot of this as I am making 3 shawl sweaters with it."

"Nice, but not bulky This is 2 plies brushed and 1 ply chainette, barely twisted. It gives a lovely soft and warm fabric. The loose ply is not something I would recommend for a novice though. The only complaint I have is it is so not a 5 weight. Knitting with a single strand it works like a light 4 weight, and the resultant fabric is what you would expect of a light worsted weight. Double stranding mends the problem and works beautifully in a project that needs a chunky yarn."
